Students have the ability to earn an Associates of Art and/or Science at the same time as their high school diploma. We offer small class sizes. Students attend school on a college campus.

The Early College High School is an exciting opportunity for students beginning ninth grade to participate in a combined high school and college experience with the goal of earning a high school diploma and college associate degree at the same time. All courses are taught on the LCCC campus tuition free. Bus transportation is included. Curriculum is challenging, support services plentiful and family involvement encouraged as a necessity. By taking advantage of the college’s resources, laboratories, and performing arts center, faculties from both education environments, and by using technology and non-traditional instructional strategies students will be more engaged in the learning process.

Application Process
1. Parent must attend a mandatory information night.
2, Fill out/ turn in a letter of interest.
3. Sign a release of records and/or provide us copies of final transcripts, test score and etc.

Who’s eligible?
Criteria that will be considered are school attendance, school discipline history, grades and motivation. The population of the high school will mirror the demographics of the school districts served. The four most important factors considered:
* Priority given to first-generation college-going students (parents do not have a college degree)
* Students must be entering the ninth grade
* Students must be proficient on the seventh grade reading and math scores on the Next Generation Assessment (NGA) – formerly the Ohio Achievement Test (OAT)
* For Students transitioning from eighth grade to high school.

Tuition & Tuition Assistance
All courses are taught on the LCCC campus tuition free.

Academic Program/Extracurricular Activities
Associates of Arts and Associates of Science from Lorain County Community College
Students are able to participate in any extracurricular activity and sports that take place before or after school at their home high school (Elyria or Lorain). If the need to leave school early to be at the home high school for a game they are responsible for their own transportation.

100% Graduation Rate

90% earn an Associates Degree.

90% of students attend a 4 year university, trade school, or join the military after graduation.

This school does not help with job placement assistance after graduation.
